Description

Kuban is the invigorating Asian wind that purifies and rebalances. A sulfate-free solid shampoo specially formulated for oily hair and scalps that quickly become greasy — for hair that stays clean longer, without irritating the scalp.

A purifying shampoo for oily hair

Kuban combines natural purifying and rebalancing active ingredients:

  • Green clay — absorbs excess sebum and deeply purifies the scalp
  • Spirulina — rich in proteins and minerals, it strengthens and revitalizes the hair fiber
  • Peppermint and ginger essential oils — stimulate microcirculation and provide a lasting feeling of freshness

Sulfate-free: purify without unbalancing

Sulfates stimulate sebum production by drying out the scalp — the opposite of what you're looking for. Our coconut-derived surfactants effectively cleanse without causing a greasy rebound. A zero-waste solid shampoo that respects the natural balance of your scalp.

Made in Brittany, ethically packaged

Each Kuban is made in our workshop in Lanildut, Brittany, and packaged in a cardboard box by an ESAT (Work Aid Establishment and Service) in Pays d'Iroise. Zero plastic, 100% meaningful.

Tips to extend the life of your solid shampoo

Let Kuban dry between uses. Our magnetic soap holder keeps it suspended with no contact points for optimal drying.

75g solid shampoo — equivalent to approximately 2 bottles of liquid shampoo. Packaged in a cardboard box by an ESAT in Pays d'Iroise.

FAQ

Is Kuban shampoo suitable for oily hair?
Yes. Kuban is specially formulated for oily hair and scalps that quickly become greasy. Its purifying active ingredients regulate sebum production without irritating the scalp.

What are the active ingredients in Kuban shampoo?
Kuban combines four natural active ingredients: green clay (sebum absorption, deep purification), spirulina (fortifying and revitalizing, rich in proteins and minerals), peppermint essential oil, and ginger essential oil (microcirculation stimulation, lasting freshness sensation).

Why choose a sulfate-free shampoo for oily hair?
Sulfates dry out the scalp, which in turn stimulates an overproduction of sebum—the opposite effect of what is desired. Kuban's gentle surfactants, derived from coconut, clean effectively without causing this oily rebound.

Does Kuban shampoo help to extend the time between washes?
Yes. By rebalancing sebum production without irritating the scalp, Kuban gradually allows you to extend the time between washes and keep hair clean longer.

Is green clay effective in a solid shampoo?
Yes. Green clay absorbs excess sebum and deeply purifies the scalp. It is a natural active ingredient particularly suitable for oily or dandruff-prone scalps.

Is Kuban shampoo suitable for sensitive scalps?
Kuban is formulated without sulfates and with gentle surfactants, but it is primarily designed for oily scalps. For very sensitive or irritated scalps, Meltem (with oats) will be more suitable.

Is Kuban shampoo sulfate-free?
Yes. Its surfactants are derived from coconut: they clean and lather effectively without unbalancing the scalp or stimulating sebum production.

How long does Kuban solid shampoo last?
A 75g bar is equivalent to approximately 2 bottles of liquid shampoo, or several weeks of use depending on washing frequency.

How to use Kuban solid shampoo?
Rub the bar directly onto wet hair or between your palms to create a lather, massage the scalp, then rinse thoroughly. The fresh sensation of mint and ginger is immediate.

How to store Kuban between uses?
Let it air dry. A magnetic soap holder (available on route-mandarine.com) avoids any contact area and extends its lifespan.

Is Kuban shampoo vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes. Kuban is vegan and cruelty-free, with no animal-derived ingredients or animal testing.

Where is Kuban shampoo made?
In the Route Mandarine workshop in Lanildut, Brittany, and packaged by an ESAT in Pays d'Iroise. Zero plastic, 100% local and supportive.
