Description

Ouessant Candle: a natural aquatic-scented candle that perfumes your entire room

Ouessant, the natural aquatic-scented candle, is part of our collection of 3 home fragrances inspired by the "Breton islands". Each fragrance is available in different formats — candles, hanging diffusers, and wax melts — to meet your preferences and harmonize with your living spaces.

This scented candle made from 100% natural rapeseed wax diffuses an aquatic, marine, and enchanting scent that evokes the sea spray of Ouessant island, the wild ocean, and the gentle Breton coves. Thanks to its natural composition and its perfume created by Tiphaine, our perfumer trained in Grasse, it delicately perfumes your interior for more than 25 hours.

✿ Why choose a natural candle to perfume your home?

A healthy candle for your home

First, unlike conventional paraffin candles, our 100% natural rapeseed wax candle does not release any toxic substances during combustion. Rapeseed wax is produced and processed in Europe, without GMOs or harmful ingredients for the environment. Also, the untreated cotton wicks ensure a clean and regular burn.

Tiphaine composes the fragrance from Grasse fragrances, the perfume capital of the world, and guarantees a creation free of CMRs (carcinogenic, mutagenic, or reprotoxic substances) or phthalates. Therefore, you can enjoy a perfumed ambiance with complete peace of mind.

Long-lasting and even diffusion

Then, thanks to its 180g of natural wax, the Ouessant candle offers a minimum of 25 hours of burning time. Its fragrance diffuses gradually and evenly throughout the room, creating a soothing and enveloping atmosphere.

Scented wax candle: creating a cozy ambiance

The scented wax candle offers a progressive and subtle diffusion of fragrance thanks to its central wick, ideal for a warm and enveloping everyday atmosphere.

Diffusion and lifespan

The wax melts slowly around the wick, continuously and evenly releasing the fragrance for several hours, perfect for extending moments of relaxation.

Use in the interior

Placed on a bedside table or in the center of a living room, it enhances the space as an elegant decorative object, creating scented cocooning moments whenever desired.

✿ How to use your scented candle daily?

To create a cozy ambiance in your living room

Light your Ouessant candle during your moments of relaxation: reading, an evening with friends, or simply to transform your living room into a haven of peace. Indeed, the aquatic notes and lavender bring a sensation of marine freshness while tonka bean and patchouli warm the atmosphere.

For a wellness ritual in your bathroom

Similarly, place the candle in your bathroom during your bath or skincare routine. The aquatic and soothing fragrance transforms this moment into a true sensory ritual, evoking sea spray and escape.

To delicately perfume your bedroom

Finally, the lavender notes, known for their relaxing properties, make this candle an ideal ally for promoting relaxation before bedtime. A gentle olfactory ambiance that invites rest.

✿ What is the scent of the Ouessant candle?

Tiphaine, our perfumer trained in Grasse (and creator of Route Mandarine), composed this aquatic and intense fragrance from quality raw materials:

  • Fresh lavender notes for a soothing aromatic touch
  • Aquatic water fruit notes that evoke the sea
  • Iodized calone notes for marine authenticity
  • Warm tonka bean and patchouli notes for depth

In summary, the result is a fresh and marine fragrance, evoking the island of Ouessant, its wind-beaten cliffs, and the power of the Atlantic Ocean.

✿ An artisanal and eco-responsible candle made in Brittany

A unique decoration made from upcycled shells

Each Ouessant candle is decorated with mussel shell fragments from upcycling. Indeed, we collect mussels from a local partner restaurant. These mussels are then carefully cleaned, sorted, and crushed in our Breton workshop.

Thus, this upcycling approach allows us to give a second life to a natural material while reducing waste. Each wax melt thus becomes unique, while reinforcing the marine and Breton identity of this creation.

Handmade in our Route Mandarine workshop

Like all our products, this candle is handcrafted in Brittany in our workshop. All in all, each candle is hand-poured with care, guaranteeing artisanal quality and local savoir-faire.

Instructions for use

To get the most out of your candle, avoid prolonged exposure to direct light, dust, and humidity.

When using for the first time, it is important to let your candle burn for approximately 2 hours to ensure an even melt pool across its entire surface. For subsequent uses, to achieve optimal fragrance diffusion, let it burn for a minimum of 1 hour.

We recommend trimming the wick to 0.5 cm. This will allow the wick to burn without black smoke.

Diffusion intensity varies depending on the size of the room in which the fragrance is diffusing.

FAQ
