"Cold process" or CPS, is a gentle saponification method that allows oils to be transformed into soap without heating. This artisanal technique produces naturally moisturizing glycerin: cold process soap thus respects the most fragile skin. No superfluous or harmful ingredients are added, and no chemical preservatives are necessary.
At Route Mandarine, we have chosen to process only vegetable oils that are certified organic. In-depth knowledge of vegetable oils allows for a well-thought-out formulation. Each oil (Olive, Coconut, Shea, Rapeseed, Castor, Hazelnut, Avocado, etc.) is selected for its qualities in soap making. For example, coconut oil provides a lot of lather, while olive oil and shea butter provide softness. Their proportion in the mixture is carefully chosen to achieve the best balance between lather, softness, cleansing power, and hydration.
These soaps are 100% biodegradable and cause no water or land pollution during their manufacturing or use.
"Invitation to Travel" is a range of 15 rare, natural, exotic, and refined soaps.
Each soap is enriched with a precious oil that will not be saponified; this could be Mango butter, Cocoa butter, virgin Avocado oil, Sesame oil, or Hazelnut oil. This is what is called superfatting.
To scent the soaps, we use synergies of organic essential oils designed and composed by Tiphaine from her favorite essential oils: Atlas Cedarwood essential oil from Morocco, Green Mandarin from Brazil, Patchouli from Sri Lanka, or Ylang-Ylang from Madagascar.
In addition to their scent, Tiphaine has worked on the colors and textures of each soap, using only natural ingredients: flower petals, seeds, clays, or spices...
Each soap evokes a place, an atmosphere, ancestral rituals, vegetation... The precious raw materials carry you away; close your eyes, you are there... for the duration of a bath or shower.
