Et si le port de Lanildut devenait votre prochaine destination de balade ?

What if the port of Lanildut became your next walking destination?

Our company is located in the port of Lanildut, at the tip of Finistère, Europe's leading seaweed port. It is a lively place where pleasure boaters, professional fishermen and seaweed gatherers meet every day in a permanent nautical ballet.

What can you do at the port of Lanildut?

The port offers many activities to suit all family desires; sports enthusiasts, the curious, or those who prefer a nap, everyone will find something to do:

1. For sports enthusiasts:

  • A bike or kayak ride with La Boutique du Crapaud

To discover our region, we strongly recommend a gentle mode of transport that will allow you to discover the incredible richness of the flora and fauna at your own pace. La Boutique du Crapaud, located at the port of Lanildut, offers kayak and all-terrain bike rentals. Go up the aber Ildut close to the water and silently to discover the wild inhabitants of our aber.

  • Departures to the islands with Finist’mer

Discover the islands of the Molène and Ouessant archipelago departing from the port of Lanildut. The crossing is shorter than from Le Conquet, and parking is easier, so don't hesitate!

  • First dive with Madéo Plongée

The great team at Madéo Plongée will take you to discover the seabed of Iroise. You can go for a snorkeling trip on the surface in the crystal clear waters of the archipelago (and maybe meet the seals and dolphins of the archipelago), do a first dive or even train to pass your next diving level.

  • Boat crossing to Lampaul Plouarzel to hike around the aber Ildut

You can leave your car at the port of Le Crapaud and cross to Lampaul Plouarzel with the ferry Phine La Passeuse. You can then go around the aber by following the coastal path to return to your starting point.

2. For the curious:

  • Discovery of seaweed at the Maison de l’algue

The seaweed museum has been revamped and offers a new museography. Come and discover the different seaweeds that populate our coasts, the job of a seaweed harvester yesterday and today, and the different uses of seaweed.

  • Visit to the artisanal workshop of the soap factory Route Mandarine

This is our place! We offer tours of our artisanal cosmetic production workshop; a great opportunity to explain how we make our soaps, shampoos, and cosmetics, the ingredient choices we've made, and our projects. The visit is by reservation only at this address: https://route-mandarine.com/pages/venez-decouvrir-lunivers-route-mandarine but you can stop by the workshop's shop whenever you like, as there's a window that allows you to see what's happening in the workshop (don't hesitate to wave at us). Delphine will be happy to explain what's going on in the workshop when you visit.

3. For relaxation enthusiasts:

  • Walk on the coastal path and swimming

A short walk on the coastal path to reach one of the many coves that offer magnificent swimming spots, a good book, and it's pure bliss. The most courageous will set off to discover the crabs and periwinkles that inhabit the rocks, while the more creative will imagine formidable sandcastles.

  • Lunch or coffee at the restaurant L’abri côtier

After all these efforts and wonderful discoveries, a break on the terrace of L’abri côtier will do you the world of good. The trucks unloading seaweed pass right under the terrace; with a small Italian ice cream, young and old truck fans will love it!
